’d like to welcome you to my website and thank you for your interest in my art work.
I am a native of North Carolina now living in a beautiful small rural community on a lakefront in northern California with my rather odd but totally charming husband, my two sons, and our two kitties.
y artistic career began in ceramics in 1974 at East Carolina University and I continued my studies at Haywood Technical College in their production crafts program. A voracious desire for new experiences, travel, and a passion for learning new art techniques led me to take other classes and workshops at Penland School of Crafts, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Anderson Ranch Art Center, Mendocino Art Center, and at Scripps College with Paul Soldner. I went on to get my Master’s Degree in educational technology and media studies from California State Polytechnic University.
fter thirty years creating functional pottery and teaching, a workshop with Ellen Blakely at the Society of American Mosaic Artists Conference in 2005, and a workshop with Donna Billick at Mendocino Arts Center sparked my interest in mosaic.
I hope you enjoy my art.
